Our Time Exhibiting at Kirstie Allsopp’s The Handmade Fair

Thursday, 6th December 2018

One fully packed rented van, thousands of buttons and two Button Queen Girls - we are ready to go!

237 miles from Pembrokeshire to London and 4 and a half hours later we arrived at the beautiful Hampton Court and it was time to set up.

The Hampton Fair saw us exhibiting for 3 days Friday, Saturday and Sunday where we met hundreds of lovely visitors and lots of keen button enthusiasts.

As well as the visitors we also met all of the other talented exhibitors around us. These stalls ranged from watercolour artists, jewellery makers, milliners and textile fabrics.

Due to the vast amount of stock and ranges The Button Queen has it was impossible to bring everything to the fair so we decided to take a mix and match selection to show our diversity. It was fair to say that the Dyed Akoya shell buttons were a big hit with the visitors as well as our covered buttons with fabric from Sew La Di Da Vintage.

We had a busy time over the course of the weekend and thoroughly loved engaging with the visitors. Some who knew us, some who didn’t, and some who believed we were still in Marylebone Lane. It was important to let everyone know that The Button Queen is still going, stronger than ever and offers all of the same services.

This was the start of The Button Queen’s exhibiting checklist. We have lots of other venues in mind to exhibit other the course of the next few years.
